Carlo Alberto leads the firm's Trademark Business Unit.  
He is the author of various publications and frequently lectures on Intellectual Property matters.

Work experience
Carlo Alberto joined Jacobacci after obtaining his law degree in 1992, and has represented and advised Italian and foreign clients while acquiring considerable experience in all trademark-related and anti-counterfeiting-related matters.
Carlo Alberto has regularly attended the major IP conferences around the world, allowing him to establish close and long-lasting professional relationships with IP lawyers and trademark attorneys, in virtually every country.

Professional focus
Carlo Alberto coordinates the worldwide registration and enforcement of a number of prominent trademarks, in particular in the fashion and design fields, cooperating closely with local attorneys at law.
Over the years he has developed significant experience handling opposition and cancellation actions before the OHIM, on behalf of Italian and foreign companies, and has successfully negotiated out-of-court settlement and coexistence agreements, in Italy and abroad.  He has a broad range of experience in trademark clearance and pre-filing advice, filing, prosecution, opposition and maintenance of trademark, both before the Italian and the European Trademark Office (OHIM). 
His practice is also particularly focused on the creation, coordination and implementation of anti-counterfeiting programs, both in brick and mortar markets and internet markets.
He cooperates closely with local attorneys at law, and has acquired a thorough knowledge of legal and practical issues relating to trademark, design and copyright enforcement throughout the world.
