Work experience
Laura joined Jacobacci in 2001. Prior to joining Jacobacci, she worked as Trademark Attorney at important IP firms in Milan and has been practising in many trademark departments for over 18 years.
She held seminars for preparing candidates to sit the exam for Trademark Attorney within the context of courses organized by Convey. Laura headed Jacobacci’s trademark department of the Padua office in the period from 2002 to 2006. 

Professional focus
Laura’s practice focuses on trademark clearance and pre-filing counseling, filing, prosecution and defense of trademarks in Italy and abroad.
She is particularly proficient in Italian, Community and International trademark procedures. She cooperates with foreign trademark attorneys to enforce Italian client’s trademark rights abroad.    
She developed expertise in filing and defending designations of origin and acquired experience in drafting and evaluating trademark coexistence and settlement agreements.
Laura studies with clients best strategies to defend trademarks and provides advice on various aspects of trademark matters.

Areas of expertise
Laura has significant experience handling trademark portfolios above all of Italian companies in a range of fields, such as fashion, food and beverages, household appliances, IT, financial services, transport services, restaurant services, as well as nonprofit organizations.  
Her activity includes trademark clearance, filing and prosecution particularly before the Italian PTO and the OHIM. She represents Italian and International companies in oppositions before the Italian PTO and in oppositions, cancellation and appeal proceedings before the OHIM.
Laura deals with training of new professionals.
