Work experience
Before joining Jacobacci & Partners in 2003, Francesco worked in the R&D Department in the field of fluid automation, where he gained industry experience in the design of electrovalves, cylinders, fittings, sensors and actuators, field-bus systems, and then worked as Patent Attorney for another important IP firm.

Professional focus
Francesco has an extensive practice in drafting and prosecuting Italian and European patent applications and has a solid experience in handling Opposition and Appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office, including multiparty proceedings and hearings. He has also been involved in patent litigation in Italy, Germany, France and The Netherlands..
Francesco handles a broad spectrum of subject-matter, ranging from mechanical engineering to the electrical, electronic and light engineering fields, including optics, software patents and internet-related issues.
As patent attorney, Francesco has been representing and advising clients ranging from universities and deeply specialized local companies to multi-national corporations.

Francesco handles mainly engineering matter and has particular experience in the fields of fluid automation and dispensing systems, railway equipment, machine tools, printing machines, textile machines, domestic and industrial electrical equipment, lighting devices. As electronic engineer, Francesco drafts and prosecutes patent applications in the area of software and computer-related inventions, electronics, also for the lighting field, information technology and telecommunications, digital image and audio processing, audio-video devices. 
Since 2008, Francesco lectures intellectual property at post-graduate courses at the University of Brescia.
