Work experience
Pierluigi started as Research Fellow at the Polytechnic of Turin with focus on broadband optoelectronic telecommunications systems and then worked in the product line management at Cisco Photonics Italy.
As a patent and design attorney Pierluigi has been representing and advising clients ranging from research institutions and deeply specialized local companies to multi-national corporations.
Professional focus
Pierluigi has an extensive practice in patent searches, including invalidity searches, in drafting and prosecuting European and Italian patent applications and experience of handling oppositions before the European Patent Office. He handles a broad spectrum of subject-matter in the telecommunications, electricity, electronic and electro-mechanical fields, including software patents and internet-related issues. He has a consolidated experience in filing patent applications for defense classified inventions. Pierluigi has also an extensive practice in the worldwide protection of models and designs. He has frequently been involved in patent litigation, both in the electronic and mechanical fields, design and copyright litigation, as well as in civil and criminal proceedings before Italian Courts.

Pierluigi has a particular experience in the fields of computer implemented inventions, digital image and audio processing, optoelectronics, DAC and ADC converters, semiconductor circuits and memories, electronics and telecommunications for the defense and aerospace, radar signal processing, electronic security systems such as anti-intrusion and surveillance systems, domestic and industrial electrical equipment and industrial automation. Notwithstanding he is mainly focused in the electronic and telecommunications fields he has also a good experience and likes particularly to deal with industrial models and designs and inventions in the mechanical field.
