Work experience
Valeria collaborated on a project for characterizing a carboxypeptidase of Pyrococcus  furiosus at the Enzymology Section - Department of Biotechnology of Technische Universiteit Delft (NL).
Before joining Jacobacci & Partners in 2008, Valeria has worked at the Intellectual Property Department in a Pharmaceutical company as a Patent Specialist. 

Professional focus
Valeria has a long experience in drafting and prosecuting European, International and Italian patent applications concerning chemical, pharmaceutical and biotechnological subject-matters. She has been involved in opposition procedures before the European Patent Office and acquired solid experience in filing and prosecuting Italian and Comunitary Design applications.

Areas of expertise
Valeria handles mainly chemical, pharmaceutical and biotechnological matters and has acquired a particular experience in the fields of the new chemical processes and improvement of existing processes, polymers production, enzymatic synthesis, new pharmaceutical compounds, antibodies production, new medical uses, agro-food biotechnologies, plant extracts, dietary supplements, cosmetics,  wastewater treatments, medical devices, fabrics treatments and contrast media. 
In addition to that, Valeria has acquired experience in managing and evaluating Supplementary Certificate of Protection.
