Michele holds a degree in Engineering from the Free University of Bolzano, and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Edinburgh.

Work experience

As part of his Master's thesis, Michele participated in a research project focused on the optimization of a boiling fluidized bed for energy conversion, with a focus on pyrolysis processes. He then had the opportunity to undertake a PhD at the University of Edinburgh, in Scotland, where he collaborated with the research group led by Prof. Glen McHale, one of the leading experts in the field of surface chemistry in the UK. His PhD focused on the development, production and optimization of innovative lubricated surfaces for various engineering applications.  In 2024, Michele started his career in intellectual property at the Brescia office.

 

Professional focus

Michele is responsible for drafting and managing Italian, European and international patent applications, as well as drafting opinions on patentability, validity and freedom to implement.

 

Areas of expertise

Michele works mainly in the different fields of mechanical engineering, with a strong expertise in fluid dynamics and the interaction between solids and fluids. He also has expertise in the energy sector, including the production of batteries and their components, as well as the development of power plants on different scales. Finally, Michele has a solid experience in technologies aimed at sustainability and reducing environmental impact.
