Italian Trademark Attorney, Professional Representative before the EUIPO. Attorney-at-law, Italian Bar. Simone read law at the Università degli Studi in Turin, graduating with a thesis in intellectual property law, which was awarded by an important Italian IP firm. While at university, Simone had study and research experiences in Lyon (France) and in Fukuoka (Japan).

Work experience

After having completed his traineeship at a law firm in Turin specialising in privacy and company law, Simone joined Jacobacci in 2015; first in the firm’s Madrid office and then in Turin office.

Professional focus

Simone has gained significant experience in prior art searches, preliminary assessments of trade mark availability, filing, prosecution of registration files, both before the Italian (UIBM) and European Union (EUIPO) Trade Mark Office. He has extensive experience in administrative proceedings before the UIBM and EUIPO.  Simone has developed a significant expertise in out-of-court negotiations and negotiation, with a concrete and pragmatic approach, identifying the best solutions for the client, with a careful cost-benefit analysis. Simone manages prestigious trademark portfolios in various sectors, cooperating with law firms and agents in numerous countries and constantly implementing his knowledge of local laws and practices in relation to the protection of trademark rights at international level. Simone is always up-to-date with regard to jurisprudential and regulatory developments, both in connection with technological developments (in particular, blockchain, NFT, metaverse and AI) and the protection of geographical indications and designations of origin.

Simone currently manages trademark portfolios of Italian and foreign companies operating in various sectors, including fashion, wine and automotive, assisting large, medium and small companies and providing them with strategic advice.
