During her studies, she spent an academic year at the Faculty of law of the University of Fribourg (CH). Sonia pursued her interest for IP Law taking part in the WIPO – University of Geneva 2020 Summer School on intellectual property.

Work experience
Prior to joining the Turin Office of Jacobacci in June 2021, Sonia completed a postgraduate traineeship at the Economic Development Department of the City of Turin. Since August 2024, she has been working at the Milan Office.
Professional focus
Sonia has gained significant experience in activities related to trademark protection, both in the pre-registration phase – conducting prior art searches, providing opinions on registrability, and developing filing strategies tailored to clients' needs – and in the acquisition and maintenance of exclusive rights. She handles the prosecution of registration applications before the Italian Trademark Office (UIBM), the European Trademark Office (EUIPO), and, with the support of local agents, foreign national trademark offices.
Sonia provides assistance in cases of trademark infringement and participates in settlement negotiations, drafting coexistence agreements and letters of undertaking. She has also developed solid expertise in both active and passive contentious proceedings before the UIBM and the EUIPO, particularly in opposition cases, where she drafts pleadings.

Sonia manages the trademark portfolios of small to medium-sized Italian and foreign companies operating in various sectors. She assists Senior Partners in managing the trademark portfolios of well-known brands in the fashion, publishing, cosmetics, agri-food, pharmaceutical, and automotive industries.
