Sunday 13 February is World Radio Day.

The daily companion of millions of people. The authorship of the invention of the radio has been contested by many scientists who have made history, first of all Nikola Tesla and Guglielmo Marconi.
On 2 July 1897 it was Marconi himself who obtained the patent no. GB189612039 for his radio (or rather, his wireless telegraph transmission).
Few people know that Marconi was forced to ask for the protection of his invention in Great Britain, in London, since the Italian Ministry of Posts and Telegraphs, at that time, did not grant any funding for the development of the idea and, indeed, the scientist was labeled "Crazy and Visionary".
