On 21 October 1833, Alfred Nobel was born, the chemist who founded the prestigious award.
Although the most famous one is the Nobel Peace Prize, Alfred Nobel was a far from peaceful scientist.
In 1867 he invented dynamite and twenty years later he ended up owning over 350 patents related to explosives, detonators and bombs.
Other times: today he probably would not have been able to have so many patents, also because the Patent law prohibits to patent inventions contrary to public order and morality.
