27 October: World Audiovisual Heritage Day
On this day, we would like to remember VHS videotapes, which many of you will surely remember well!
In the early 1980s, two video cassette formats were popular: VHS (invented by the JVC company) and Betamax (by Sony).
JVC has granted numerous production licenses for VHS, making it the standard in homes and video stores around the world.
To keep both formats in the same container, in 1982 a modular display case was patented, now a passionate collector's item.
