Work experiences
Before joining Jacobacci & Partners in 2018, Stefano completed his traineeship in a renowned boutique law firm specialized in Intellectual Property and corporate law in Milan. He has also gained an international experience in Shanghai, working for several months at a law firm focused in Intellectual Property as well. During his experiences, he has collaborated in managing judicial and administrative Intellectual Property proceedings before the Italian and European Courts and Offices and in out-of-court dispute resolution. Stefano has also been involved in negotiating and drafting international license and distribution agreements, IP due diligence activities and he attended some main trademark-related conferences, including INTA and AIPPI.
Professional focus
Stefano focuses his activities on counselling clients on and assisting with acquiring, maintaining and policing Intellectual Property rights, in Italy and abroad. His work includes trademark clearance and pre-filing advice, filing and prosecution activities before the Italian Trademarks and Patents Office (UIBM) and the European Union Trademark Office (EUIPO) as well as in any other territories with the cooperation of a selected network of local agents. Stefano’s practice encompassed IP-related administrative dispute – oppositions and cancellations proceedings – as well as out-of-court dispute resolution through negotiation aimed at successfully reaching settlement and co-existence agreements.
Areas of expertise
Stefano works in support of Senior Partners in managing worldwide trademark portfolios of some of the most important Italian well-known companies, operating in the field of fashion, design furniture, luxury goods, automotive, food and wine. He provides assistance to small and middle-sized Italian companies with accurate and strategic advice tailored to suit client’s practical needs.
