The USOPEN tennis tournament takes place in Flushing Meadows (NY), the fourth and last slam tournament of the year.
The birth of tennis dates back to 1874 and this sport immediately became famous, as well as the subject of worldwide inventiveness, with the filing of many patents. Among the first one filed there is the US434425 patent of 1890 which protected a racket by including in its handle a game counter through which to keep the score ("advantages" included !!!) of each game.
